Britain’s best female enduro and rally rider, Patsy Quick is the name behind Desert Rose Racing. Patsy is renowned for her motorcycling ability, both on and off the bike. Her credits include: becoming the first British women to complete the Tunisian Rally in 1999, winning the British Women’s Enduro Championship in 2000, European Women’s Enduro Championship in 2001, as well as the Women’s British Motocross Championship.
But what she is best known for is her ambition of completing the Dakar Rally. In her first attempt in 2003, Patsy had a horrific crash which almost ended her career. Fortunately she recovered and returned again in 2004, where she made it until day nine. The ambitious Brit returned again in 2005, although this time she retired due to bike problems. It was 2006 when her dream finally came true. She finished the Dakar Rally and became the first British woman to complete the gruelling endurance event.
Patsy’s work now includes building rally bikes for competitors in the World Rally Championship with the best rally kit available, offering assistance at Rally events, and running off-road motorcycle tours to Morocco.
